Charles Lucas - what an adrenalin junkie!

Long, long day but more relaxed pace just around the corner for a day or two
From the time we left Dortmund to the time of arrival at Stuttgart a 14 hour day. We are certainly packing a lot into most days although this day being day two of three big travelling days - nearly 1500km to cover. Still our second home, the beast of a double decker coach is very comfortable and fast. It eats up the asphalt down those speed limitless German autobahns at speeds of .. ehhhrr 100km/h. Don't worry the coach is limited to 100 km/h maximum. The boys had a good time at the theme park today. It was very difficult to spot any of the boys most of the day which is probably an indication they are off enjoying themselves hugely. These theme parks certainly know how to get money out of the punters though. If it'snot food it's photos at the end of rides or cuddly toys that will probably not make it past check in at the airport at the end of the trip. The subsequent coach trip to Stuttgart was wee bit longer than expected partly because of the stop over at a service station. There may be an emergency food drop at the location as our boys did a fine job of emptying all the shelves. Tomorrow we have a sleep in and departure of 10am for a 3 or 4 hour explore of the city of Stuttgart. There are no shops open so we plan to visit a local festival that is on in town and/or go to the Mercedes Museum. The petrol heads will be happy - Mercedes have one of their biggest factories here in Stuttgart. |
