Not enough hours in the day ...
Sprint tourism should be a new sport at the next Olympics with some of our boys and in particular Mr Duffy leading the NZ field of entries. Three hours in Salzburg simply wasn’t enough to do the town justice. Some boys shopped, some boys walked around and enjoyed the sights and some even ventured up to the 15th Century castle high above the city for some rewarding views of this gorgeous city. All too soon we were on the bus and a semi planned excursion to the Red Bull Museum had to be canned (ha ha no pun intedned) as we had to make our way to Innsbruck. A stunning drive that got better and better. The weather also played its part with the sun making fleeting glimpses through the clouds to reveal the snow capped mountains. The accommodation at Innsbruck, is shall we say interesting. But we are not here to review the Hiltons of Europe whilst on tour. At this particular location we are here to ski and experience alpine sport and conditions. The boys spent the rest of the evening either surfing the web (at prehistoric speeds) or went into town with the teachers for a view of the old city. All safely in bed at 10pm with skiing tomorrow ….. no off piste boys. |
