Sunday - Full Day 4 pictures around London

Warmest day in months in London
A day of activity and increasing fight against the inevitability of having 2 hours broken sleep at best for some of our boys. Sunday dawned damp and cool but soon warmed up and the promise of the weather turned into a fantastic day. The boys had a decent sleep in although those who slept the earliest on Saturday night were up and about, going for a jog, searching out for the nearest McDonalds and eagerly awaiting the day's events. We met a couple of wonderful coach drivers (lesson of the day DO NOT call British coach drivers 'bus drivers' - they spit balls of fire at you) who drove us around London showing us all the sights. In no particular order we were shown Buckingham Palace, NZ War Memorial at Hyde Park, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, HMS Belfast, Houses of Parliament, New Scotland Yard, Museums, Westminster Abbey, etc,... you get the idea. The boys are practicing singing right now after tea. They had their first training run just before tea sorting out some moves and getting into the thinking space for games on Tuesday. Will hopefully update later with some more photos and anecdotes. Hard to believe that in 72 hours we will be in Paris! |
