The trepidation in their voices is palpable!
Ms Gorman laughing like a school girl all the ride .... good times!! A view of Thorpe Park and most of but not all of the rides that are at the park. |
Kiwis show fearless spirit at Thorpe Park ...
Whether it is right or wrong is irrelevant but handing out the tickets to the boys today for Thorpe Park would be exactly like handing out emergency food parcels for children in other parts of the world. Snatched from the hand in a flash and then the boys were gone in even quicker time! But what fun they had during the day although some who had never even been to a theme park before maybe should have built up their fear-stamina more gently rather then trying the Stealth ride first! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3KGBjqIbfc) The hotel fed us handsomely again this evening. The last possibility of being retail-entertained in London for many years for our boys proved too big a lure and so some went to the Westfield in west London and the other half used overland and underground for an explore around Piccadilly Circus. Remember this name people, Lillywhites sports store at Piccadilly. Our boys have provided some boost to the income over the last few days! Local retailers in Dunedin will have to be prepared for some hard haggling from our boys in a few weeks. More updates tomorrow from what is going to prove to be a very filled up day - breakfast, singing practice, sports practice, trip to Windsor, concert performance at the chapel at Windsor, look around Windsor town and the Castle, change at the hotel, travel to sport, play sport, return for tea at 9.15pm!!! ...ohh and then pack for Paris for an early departure on Wednesday. |
